About Colored Pencils
Colored Pencils is a sole proprietorship based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, operating online as Colored Pencils. We began with a frustration shared by artists, students and weekend hobbyists across India: colour pencils that looked promising on the shelf but let you down on paper. Chalky cores that skipped over the page, colours far duller than the barrel suggested, and sets where half the shades were nearly impossible to tell apart. Too often the pencils that actually laid down rich, buildable pigment carried import prices that put them out of reach. We started Colored Pencils to close that gap and bring pigment-rich, smooth-blending coloured pencils to Indian desks and studios at honest rupee prices.
Our Mission
Our mission is to make dependable colour affordable. Whether you are shading your first still-life, filling an adult colouring book on a quiet evening, or layering a detailed botanical study, you deserve pencils that behave predictably: cores that sharpen to a clean point, pigment that lays down evenly, and shades that blend and layer the way the packaging promises. We curate coloured-pencil sets, individual artist pencils and blending pencils that earn their place in a working kit, and we price them so that good colour is not a luxury.
What We Care About
We judge every set we stock by the things that actually matter on paper. Pigment and core quality come first: soft enough to blend and layer, bound well enough to hold a point without constant breakage. We are honest about colour counts, so a 24-set is described as 24 genuinely distinct, usable shades and never padded with near-duplicates to inflate a number. And we use honest photography, so the swatches you see reflect how the colour really behaves and what arrives matches what you expected. Wax-based or oil-based, student grade or artist grade, we tell you plainly what a pencil is best suited for.
An Online-Only Store
Colored Pencils runs entirely online, with no physical showroom or retail counter. That keeps our overheads low and lets us pass the saving on to you, while we dispatch orders across India from Jaipur. Everything you need, from full descriptions and colour details to clear pricing in INR, lives right here on the website, so you can choose the right set with confidence before you buy.
